Prohibited sponsorship is basically the sponsorship denial of some products. Prohibited meaning forbidden by law, and sponsorship meaning a person or an organization that pays for or plans and carries out a project or activity ; especially : one that pays the cost of a radio or television program usually in return for advertising time during its course (Yes I googled that definition).
Prohibited sponsorship is used on products such as cigarettes, any body whose objects are wholly or mainly of a political issue, any person whose business consists wholly or mainly in the manufacture or supply of pharmaceutical products only available on prescription. I see their reasoning behind the tobacco and political restrictions, but not about the pharmaceutical restriction.
I agree with prohibited sponsorship for the most part, but I think that there are more things that could be added in, such as alcohol. You always see beer commercials, even though they count for most of the accidents on the road, yet you dont see cigarette commercials. The political restriction is probably good, there would be major competition for sponsorships with large, well knowns companies. I think that they should keep prohibited sponsorship, but maybe modify it a bit. First of all, add in alcohol, and give tobacco and the alcohol industries a chance to get sponsored, but at a really high cost, or something like that.
